Directions
The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) fully implemented its Regional Stormwater Management Program in 2016 to address flooding, erosion, and water quality. Kim Colich, Stormwater Program Manager, will provide an overview of the program, including its funding sources, watershed-based planning efforts, and how projects are identified, prioritized, and delivered. Examples of projects will be shared to demonstrate the range of stormwater solutions implemented. Emphasis will be placed on how NEORSD’s stormwater program intersects with transportation, including roadway flooding, culvert capacity, and embankment stability. The presentation will discuss opportunities for collaboration between NEORSD and transportation agencies through coordinated planning, shared data and resources, and potential funding partnerships to effectively address infrastructure challenges.
