ASHE Lake Erie Outstanding Transportation Project of the Year

Under $10M: SR2 Over Worden Road, ODOT, District 12 -

Michael DeLisio (ODOT), Julia Hart (2LMN), and Matthew DeSapri (Great Lakes Construction) will present on the widening and replacement of the twin SR2 bridge decks over Worden Road in Wickliffe, Ohio. The project increased the vertical clearances over Worden Road by 8 inches. Maintaining effective traffic flow of the 75,000 AADT traffic during construction was a key factor in the project success as the bridges connect the western Lake County suburbs to the Euclid Spur. Low-mast LED lighting was incorporated into the nearly 4,800 feet of upgraded median barrier wall, which also included new conduit and junction boxes to facilitate the future installation of new detection units in the travel lanes for ODOT Office of Technical Services
